Luis ... there is no on-board starter solenoid on the savage. it is under the seat. IF power is not at the starter while cranking it won't crank. MY savage had intermitent(sp) no-start and it was the contact on the push button. I took it apart and cleaned it. good as new. Maybe european bikes are differnt from my 86? also the brushes in my starter wore out and I had to make new ones as the genuine suziki ones cost way too much. I bought brushes for a car starter and filed them down to fit my housing. I think they were a dollar or so each at the local auto parts store.
